Tyrannosaurus Rex Size

The "Tyrant lizard King" is the best known of all dinosaurs. It is the most famous of all the dinosaurs or all the prehistoric animals for that matter. T-Rex is perhaps the largest meat-eating dinosaur, measured 11 - 12.8 m long and weighed 5 - 9 tonnes. It's head and neck were so powerful with teeth the size of bananas, that is the largest tooth of any carnivorous dinosaur, measuring up to 12 in (30 cm) in length. T-Rex had the powerful bite of any extinct or living terrestrial animal ever. It had a bite force of 12,800 pounds and could eat up to 500 lbs of meat and bones in one bite!!    


Fossils have been found in North America (Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, North/South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Wyoming) and Canada (Alberta and Saskatchewan).
